MY STORY

My name is Eloise Wallace. I am a senior in high school at Fort Worth Country Day. My interest in journalism began when I was just 14, and has continued to grow since. I have always been drawn to sports and storytelling, so for me, journalism is a way to combine my two passions. For the past three summers, I have had the incredible opportunity to be a part of The Pat Doney Sportscaster Camp. There, I learned all the tools to become a sports broadcaster from professionals like Pat Doney, Curt Sandoval, Jared Sandler, Katie George, and more. I am creating this website for students like me who want to pursue a career in journalism, but may not have the funds or time to attend a camp as I did.

My ExPIRIENCE

On CAMERA SKILLS

I have had the opportunity to practice my on-camera skills at places like The Star in Frisco, Schollmaier Arena, and Globe Life Field during a Rangers game.

SOCIAL MEDIA

To get plenty of practice and reps, one of the things I have been doing is growing my presence on Instagram. It's a low-stakes way to perfect and share my skills

AT SCHOOL

At school, I participate in yearbook and sports photography. I find it important to find ways to improve on my own time and at school.

My Passion

A true broadcaster's drive comes from a genuine love for the game and a relentless desire to share the athlete's journey.
